Story
SpongeBob skips town after being told off by his pals. After an accident, he loses his memory and lives in New Kelp City, which is under siege by the Bubble Poppin’ Boys.
In Bikini Bottom, the town goes insane with no Krabby Patties, so the gang decides to get SpongeBob back.
Random Facts
Guest starring the late Ray Liotta, known for being the voice of Tommy Vercetti in GTA Vice City.
The intro replaces the words “SpongeBob SquarePants” with “WhoBob WhatPants” which makes it easy to switch channels.
A lot of New Kelp City was inspired by Goodfellas.
Ranked #3 on the MoBrosStudios Fan Edition Worst Episode list.

One of my least favorite episodes. Not number one mind you, but it’s nearly as awful as Pal for Gary or Squid Baby.
This one is extremely mean spirited. Not to the level of quite a number of modern Family Guy episodes, but it’s like the episode was designed to be an episode about torturing SpongeBob. Mean spirited works much better in bleak shows or shows that take place in hostile societies.
Citiesville in PPG is on the mind here and even that episode (Town and Out) was one of the shittiest PPG episodes when you don’t factor the ones that came out under Savino’s supervision. I have it listed as one of my least favorite episodes.

I’d rather do the pizza delivery or paramedic sidequests in Vice City than watch this.
If I ranked the special episodes this one would be one of the closest to the top. It’s just as god awful as Atlantis SquarePantis and Truth or Square. Keep the mean spirited nature out of SpongeBob and leave it in somewhere like Liberty City or San Andreas.
