Brief Backstory
During the 2000s, Disney Channel went through a major identity crisis and quickly became a planet of shit with horrific shitcoms and often bad tv movies with god awful writing and pathetic acting while the idiots running the channel were throwing money away on cocaine. Of all the shit that was thrown around, High School Musical was one of the most famous. Critically considered average among the masses, HSM has in recent years been a nostalgic time travel for some people.
Story
Two high school students, Troy and Gabriella audition for a musical much to the frustration of Sharpay.
Random Facts
Considered to be a modernized version of Romeo and Juliet.
Most popular Disney Channel Original Movie of all time.
Satirized by South Park and MadTV not too long after this came out.
Sequels came out right afterwards ending with High School Musical 3.
Random Opinions
I first saw this in school quite a long time ago. I didn’t like it when I was 14/15/16 and I sure as hell don’t like it today. After seeing some clips of this I’m tempted to throw Batman Begins (which I’ve heard is really good) or some good old John Wayne or classic Universal Horror movies on to clean up the mind.
The songs suck so much – not much better than the cheapquels! Where’s Silencer from DOTA when you need him?

- None except something to watch while binge drinking.

Rating: 1/10 – Rancid
This is just an example of mainstream sludge that poisoned the 2000s. I swear the only way to watch this is by muting the audio, turn away from the screen, turn on some Tyrant, and find something else to watch. I can’t believe people are nostalgic for this; just looking at the screenshots from this movie almost makes me want to raid the fridge for some Olde English 800.
