Story
Santa’s Little Helper is in need of stomach surgery, forcing the Simpsons to get stingy. After the operation succeeds, everyone including Bart starts to hate SLH.

Peter and the Wolf (Peter’s part which was strings) is played while Santa’s Little Helper leaves the Simpsons for a while.
Clockwork Orange is referenced with SLH having his eyes kept open by Mr. Burns and Smithers.

Quite likely one of the most mean spirited episodes of the entire show.
I’m starting to wonder why there aren’t many SLH episodes. A lot of them are some of my lower rated except for the see my vest episode from season 6.
