Road to the North Pole
A Christmas tale that’s refreshing as getting drunk off a 30 pack of Bud Ice.
Story
Stewie vows to murder Santa, but not after seeing what’s going on in his workshop.
Random Facts
The music number “All I Really for Christmas” was originally written when the show was in its 3rd season. It wasn’t used until then though.
If Santa said he was 28 in this episode, then he would’ve been born in the early 80s.
Unlike other Christmas cartoons, Santa’s Workshop is portrayed as a toxic dump, much like the old Doe Run lead plant in Herculaneum, Missouri.
Random Opinions
I’m supposed to listen to Brian, a selfish mutt that’s due for euthanasia? Believe me I agree that greed and avarice is poisonous and can badly harm others as seen with Santa here, but Brian has no room to talk when he’s stalking women and calling out people for their religion. Brian’s voice of reason characteristics died in season 5 when he started bitching politics.
No Ron MacFarlane, your narration is not funny.
Quagmire ripping Brian a new one in an earlier episode was epic, but here it’s just really sad and unfunny. How was he supposed to know that girl was terminally ill?
Stop using stock footage. You’re not SpongeBob or Aqua Teen Hunger Force and your budget is much higher than many other shows.
Apparently the writers wanted to make the Bumble from Rudolph and the entirety of the Little Drummer Boy look tame if they’re going around making rabid looking deer and incest elves (yeah they’re FUCKING incest I’m not kidding). Well they did a good job in scaring the shit out of everyone and making this unfun to watch for some.

Santa’s Workshop is probably the most horrifying thing I’ve seen in my life in Christmas related cartoons. Points taken off for using stock art or images found online. | A lot of unfunny rudeness in this one. | “Greed and Avarice” Says the one who bangs every woman he sees (which believe me has gotten old by this point). | Despite the message and rudeness, the two song numbers are perfectly fine. | Quagmire being a dick again for no reason. Then of course we have Brian saying “one gift only or else” when he’s probably one of the greediest characters in Family Guy. |
Rating: 18/50 – Poor (4/10)
While I wouldn’t rank it hot garbage (oh believe me there are way worse), I certainly can’t recommend watching this one. It’s too mean spirited and the imagery in Santa’s Workshop only makes this episode worse.
Nevertheless not the worst road to episode – not even close. I’ll take this over Beauty and the Beast the Enchanted Christmas or Frosty Returns.
