There’s something about Paulie

No deed whether bad or good is done for free.

Story

After getting ripped off by the used car lot, Peter has the mob involved in a insurance fraud scam. The mob demands Peter to pay his debt where he has to be with the don’s son, Big Fat Paulie. Lois’s suspicions make Paulie put a contract out on her, forcing Peter to get the hit called off before Lois is murdered.

Cavity Creeps, before getting into the fight in Imaginationland.

Random Facts

Death of a Salesman.

Insurance fraud became a hot topic in the Simpsons episode Dumbbell Indemnity.

Death of a Salesman is referenced.

Random Opinions

This was the first time I ever heard of Crest’s Cavity Creeps. Prior I only remembered Crest’s weirdass Geena the Giraffe’s Tremendous Tooth Adventure, which might be something I want to look at shortly.

I’m surprised the James Woods High School scene hasn’t been censored out on syndication; this came out a year after the Columbine shooting.

Unlike later episodes (Season 5+) the long joke of Big Fat Paulie getting killed is actually really funny.

No kill like overkill.

Crude but animated well.Well written. The episode stays at a decent pace and there isn’t a drop of filler thrown in.Great voice acting.Big Fat Paulie is a great one-time character.

Rating: 44/50 – Amazing (9/10)

One of Family Guy’s best episodes. Stays funny and tells a story, which is something that this show’s failed to do since the late 2000s.
