Homer writing his suicide note is on par with Plankton’s suicide attempt in One Coarse Meal or the Tom and Jerry short Blue Cat Blues. Yep I find this just as painful to watch. Heavenly Puss comes to mind too but that one’s not boring and is actually funny with dark comedy (except that part with the kittens… that shouldn’t have existed.)

The suicide attempt seems to draw some similarities to Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore (which is about to turn 40 if it hasn’t already).
